Not at all. Most students walk in with zero martial arts background. Every Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai class at Gazze Academy is built around fundamentals, and our coaches pair new members with the right group so you learn at a safe, steady pace.
Yes. We offer a 10 day free trial so you or your child can experience real classes before committing. It is the best way to meet the coaches, see the mats, and feel the Gazze Academy community firsthand. Just reach out and we will get you booked.
Our Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is built for ages 5 to 12. Classes focus on confidence, discipline, focus, and anti-bullying self-defense, taught in a fun and encouraging environment that keeps kids engaged and coming back.
Yes. Beginners train with control and supervision at all times. In BJJ you build technique through positional drilling before any live rounds, and in Muay Thai you develop striking on pads and bags. You progress only as fast as you are comfortable.
Just bring comfortable athletic clothes and water. For Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu we will recommend a gi once you decide to continue, and for Muay Thai shorts and a t-shirt are perfect to start. No special gear is needed for your first session.
Gazze Academy has trained the Huntington Beach community since 2003 under a 6th degree BJJ black belt who has coached world champions and UFC athletes. You get championship-level instruction in a welcoming academy where everyone knows your name.
